WOW! THANK YOU for all the new "Likes" & support!
Please keep sharing & caring!

We are getting quite a few messages and requests for an update on what's happening.

While it may seem that things have been "quiet" in reality, it's been a very busy spring for the OurSpace Project. We received our "official" award letter from New York State Parks & Recreation for our $500,000 grant in late January, and with that we were able to start working on the many necessary regulatory requirements. Through private donations and grants we have raised the additional funds needed to build the project.

We'd like to thank the Binghamton's Mayor Rich David and City Council, for supporting us, and making this project possible. Their support has been tremendous and inspiring. As a result, we have been able to complete these requirements efficiently and we expect to break ground on the project very soon!

We will be updating our website over the next few days. The updates will include a FAQ which we believe will answer most of the common questions. Additionally, we invite you to email any comments to ourspacepark@gmail.com.

OurSpace Park will not only be fully accessible for all ages and abilities, it will be a beautiful facility for all residents to enjoy and explore. Best of all.... IT IS COMING SOON!!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

YOUR SUPPORT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Supporting OurSpace will not only give us the opportunity to complete our proposed project, but it will result in an increased awareness of needs in the community and provide an inclusive support to our youth and families of all abilities.
For individuals with disabilities, the park will open up new possibilities for physical fitness and activities. It will also serve as a place to unite and socialize. For children, it will provide an inclusive environment in which to play and interact with the world and each other.
The City of Binghamton and its surrounding communities (Southern Tier) will also benefit from being the only area in upstate New York with a park specifically developed for special needs individuals. It will serve as a sustainable landmark and significant accomplishment for the area. Furthermore, as an open, public space, OurSpace will be an inclusive environment for the entire community to enjoy.
